How should I decorate my room once it's done?
Right now we're putting a closet in my old room, and once it's done, I'm painting it ocean blue and beige (I already bought the paint). Some of the things that will be a necessity in my room will be my headboard. It's wood and has shelves, and my dresser (matches the headboard). A lamp that has different colored covers and can move around on those wire things, I don't remember what there called. And a bookcase with three shelves. I have an antique looking painting of Venice, and a cartoon drawing of myself from jr. high.
I also need an idea for a desk. I have a laptop and things that need placing.
The floors are wood, but my mother painted them grey-blue (for some reason), but I might paint them beige along with the ceiling.
I'm just really into light, soothing, earth tone colors, and antique styles.
So I need ideas for paintings, maybe some area rugs. Possibly colors for my sheets. Basically just color schemes.
Good start-ocean blue and beige- ocean and sand! Try adding in different shades of light green that will be light and soothing. Any maybe a punch of brillliant aqua in throw pillows.
I wouldn't have everthing blue, green and beige. Have a white fluffy rug or white bedspread. You might have some light bouncing around the room with silver (lamps, picutre frames), mirrors. and glass. Another trick to keep it light is have white draperies.
