I am interested in designing and building my own poker table. I am thinking of something similar to this:

I like the look of the racetrack style, however, I wouldnt bother putting that padding stuff on the outside, I would just have the wood then put the carpet/cloth stuff in the center.

Generally how big should I make it? I would like room for at least 4 players and the dealer. How much space should I leave for each player?

Also, how to make the cup holders? I mean, how do I put the holes in it? I know this is a dumb question and im sorry for that :/
